I lost weight online!
I had to lose 20 pounds. I had gained 20 pounds in the last year and now very few of my clothes fit and I just felt miserable. I thought I would be able to take the weight off easily but it just wouldn't come off! So I read about and signed up for Weight Watchers® online program.
It was actually fun! The online site had answers to all my questions, meal plans to help me cook, helpful tips and hints along the way to losing weight, cool ways of tracking my weight each week, and the best part was the Daily Meal Journal. Every bit of food that I ate was entered into the computer when I ate it, and the points added themselves up during the day. And I learned so much about my eating habits that now I can easily keep the 20 pounds off! I would heartily recommend Weight Watchers® Online.
And the secret is.......? My secrets were first being truly dedicated to the Daily Meal Journal so I could really see what is happening with my weight loss. Second, was drinking lots of water. It seemed the more water I drank, the faster I lost weight.

5 tips for losing weight:
- Sign up for Weight Watchers® Online.
- Use their Daily Meal Journal faithfully. Write down every single thing that you put in your mouth. (My doctor said this is probably the main reason I was able to lose weight so easily!) If you don't have access to a computer during the day, print out the Daily Meal sheet so you can write it down and type it into the website later. But write it down or type it in as soon as you eat it so you don't forget.
- Add up your "points" as you go through the day. At first I was ending up at the evening meal with very few points left to spend, even though that is my "big meal" of the day. So I started eating less during the day so I could eat better in the evening. This is so cool because it teaches you how to balance your food so you can eat and stay full every day and still lose weight.
- Use the Weight Watchers® Meal Planners at least at first to find some recipes that will give you reduced points. Browse their recipes to plan your meals for the next week.
- Portion control. This was a big big help to me. If you eat a bit less for every meal, you gain less points and therefore you can snack during the day when you feel hungry. And I didn't feel hungry by eating just a bit less......Portion control worked great for me. And especially when I started feeling full, I just quit eating! You don't have to eat everything on your plate like your mom used to say...
